CNA and Homemaker Training Homefront Health Care provides both RI Department of Health's approval for Certified Nursing Assistant Training and Homemaker Training. The Certified Nursing Assistant Training at Homefront Health Care consists of of 96 hours of classroom training and 30 hours of clinical experience. The CNA training includes 8 hours of instruction in homecare with at least 6 hours of clinical experience in the home. Upon successfully completing the training program, the student is eligible to complete the state test to be registered with the RI Department of Health. Criteria to be considered the CNA class includes passing a 7th grade reading comprehension test, a clean state-wide criminal background check, and documentation to legally work in the United States. Admission to the class is by invitation only. The next CNA training will be held in September. Information sessions will be held in August. All potential students must attend the session to be considered for the class. Homemaker Training Homefront Health Care's Homemaker Training Program is approved by RI Department of Health. Homemaker Training consists of of 20 hour of classroom instruction and 5 hours of clinical experience. Upon successful completion of the homemaker training, the students receive a certificate.
