Companions

Are you looking for someone to keep you company and to help you with some household tasks?

Do you have a loved-one who needs some social contact or supervision?

Companions are less expensive than Certified Nursing Assistants and are trained to care for older persons.

Companions provide:

Socialization
Limited transportation
Food shopping
Light housework
Run errands
Meal preparation

Companions cannot assist with:

Bathing
Dressing
Toileting
Transfers

All of Homefront's companions have completed a 25-hour homemaker training program that has been approved by the Rhode Island Department of Health. The training covers the basic needs of elders, which includes homemaking, nutrition, safety and preventing infections.

Every companion is in compliance with the Department of Health's requirements for health screening and immunizations, has had a criminal background check, and is bonded and insured.
